Gene Junior Hill of Chisholm, Minnesota enlisted in the Naval Reserve on March 3, 1945 at Hibbing, Minn.

He served as a Seaman 1st Class and radar operator aboard the USS Zeal (AM 131) and USS Swax (AM 120), Pacific Theater.

He was honorably discharged July 25, 1946 at Minneapolis, Minn.
