KONCKER, Gail Evelyn
Gail Evelyn [Kent] Koncker of Buhl, Minnesota was born May 29th 1921 to Clair Bryan and Evelyn S. [Booth] Kent, in Winnebago, Minnesota.
She graduated from St. Paul Harding High School in 1938.
She flew for the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) in the Twin Cities during World War II. The CAP members operated single-engine aircraft in the execution of its various missions, including orientation flights for cadets and the provision of significant emergency services capabilities.
After the war, she married Duson Koncker on Feb. 3rd 1945 in St. Paul and they started a family. She served as president of the former Bennett-Bukovich Post 246 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She died December 31st 2002 at Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing, Minnesota at the age of 81 years. She was buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Buhl, Minnesota.
