Frederick B. Schwalen

Frederick B. Schwalen was inducted into the Army on January 21, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fourth Grade and cryptographic technician with Detachment G of the 4025th Signal Service Group in New Guinea, Southern Philippines, and Luzon.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign  Medal with three bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on January 7, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
