Fred Salo

Fred Salo entered the Army on September 17, 1942 at Fort Snelling. Home at entry: Embarrass, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and motor trolley operator with the 748th Railway Operating Battalion in the China-Burma-India Theater.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on January 15, 1946 at  Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
