Frank T. Knaus of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on April 30, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Sergeant and airplane armorer and gunner with the 4185th Army Air Forces Base Unit, in Naples-Foggia and Southern France.
Mr. Knaus received the: Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged on September 13, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
