Frank Strukel entered the Army on February 4, 1944.  Home at entry: Ely, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and rifleman with Company B of the 349th Infantry Regiment in the European Theater.

Mr. Strukel was wounded in action, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was discharged on August 28, 1945.
