Frank F. Pirnat of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Jan. 15, 1942.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and a truck driver with Headquarters Company, 254th Infantry Regiment, serving in Sicily and Rome-Arno in Italy plus southern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Pirnat received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Oct. 5, 1945.
