Frank P. Griggs

Frank P. Griggs was inducted into the Army August 26, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Kelly Lake, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and message center clerk with Company A of the 112th Airborne Army Signal Battalion in Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Griggs was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one silver battle star (for five bronze stars) and bronze arrowhead, World War II Victory Medal, Glider Badge, and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged November 17, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wis.
