Frank J. Peternel

Frank J. Peternel of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on July 17, 1942.

He was a Technical Sergeant and a records non-commissioned officer with the 82nd Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Company, serving at Rome-Arno and the North Apennines in the Italian campaign.

Mr. Peternel received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two Overseas Service Bars.

He was discharged on Nov. 3, 1945.
