Frank E. Steblay was inducted into the Army on September 19, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Biwabik, Minnesota.

Mr. Steblay was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, six overseas service bars, and Philippine Liberation Medal.
He was honorably discharged on August 23, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
