Frank E. Smolich

Frank E. Smolich was inducted into the Army on April 30, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Aurora, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and engineman operator with the 688th Engineer Base Equipment Company in the Sicilian Campaign.

Mr. Smolich received the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on November 3, 1945, at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
