Floyd H. Anvid

Floyd H. Anvid was born in Duluth, Minnesota and graduated from Central High School in 1943.
He was employed at the Coolerator plant in Duluth until he enlisted in the Army on Nov. 11, 1943. He was a corporal and a rifle instructor. He received the:
Good Conduct Medal,
American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged on May 2, 1946. After the war he trained as a draftsman at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He worked for the Zalk Josephs Co. and in the construction business until he joined the Duluth School District as an engineer in 1961.
He retired from that position in 1986. He died in 2000.
