Ferdinand O. Limmer entered the Army on January 28, 1944.
He was a Private First Class and a marine oiler in the Pacific Theatre. He did maintenance work on gasoline and diesel engines aboard General Eichelberger's yacht on which General Douglas MacArthur was a frequent guest.
Mr. Limmer received the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on November 29, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
