Ewald Erick Soder

Ewald Erick Soder served in World War II. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was stationed at the Ellis Island Merchant Marine Hospital, where he served as a cook and also in military intelligence as a Scandinavian interpreter.

Mr. Soder was born in Duluth, Minnesota, in March of 1920.

He was the son of Erick an Linda Mattson Soder.

Mr. Soder passed away on December 29, 2007 at the age of 87.
