Eugene N. Blocker

Mr. Blocker enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 31, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and airplane and engine mechanic with the 416th Squadron of the 99th Bomb Group in Africa and Europe. Joined air crews at Setif, Algeria, moved up to Tunis and later moved to Foggia, Italy. Participated in air offensives over Tunisia and Europe: Naples-Foggia, North Appenines, Po Valley and Rome-Arno, Italy; Sicily; Normandy, Northern France, and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Insignia, and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

He was discharged on October 12, 1945, at Mitchell Field, New York.
