Eugene A. Mahala of Proctor was inducted into the Army on Feb. 27, 1943.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and truck driver with the 615th Quartermaster Depot Company in the Rhineland.
Mr. Mahala was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with a bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on January 5, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
