Eugene J. Hines

Eugene J. Hines entered the Army October 7, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and rifleman with Company M of the 317th Infantry Regiment in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Hines was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged January 15, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
