EDMARK, Ervin Everet
Ervin Everet Edmark was born on April 20th 1913 to Per "Peter" Magnus & Hanna Christena [Pierson] Edmark in Hibbing, Minnesota. He married Ruby Genevieve [Olson] and they started a family.
Mr. Edmark was inducted into the U.S. Army on April 24th 1942 at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota during WWII. Home at entry: Hibbing.
He served as a construction machine operator with the First Engineer Dredge Crew in New Guinea, Leyte, and Philippines. He rose to the rank of Technician 5th Grade (TEC5).
TEC5 Edmark earned the following merits for his service:
- Good Conduct Medal,
- Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 2 bronze battle stars, -and-
- Philippine Liberation Medal with 1 bronze campaign star.
He was honorably discharged May 31st 1945 from Hospital Center, Camp Carson, Colorado. After the war he returned home to his family.
Mr. Edmark died on December 10th 1957 at 44 years of age. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
