Ernest W. Hill was inducted into the Army October 28, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Eveleth, Minnesota.

He served as a Staff Sergeant in supply with Headquarters Company of the 91st Infantry Division in Rome-Arno, North Apennines, and Po Valley, Italy.

Mr. Hill was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged October 29, 1945, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.

He also served in the army during the Korean Conflict.
