Ernest W. Hill of Embarrass, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on March 25, 1942 .

He was a Private First Class and rifleman in the infantry in the Aleutian Islands and Pacific Theater.

Mr. Hill was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged October 26, 1945 at Camp Hood, Tex.
