Ernest Koskela of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on September 17, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Staff Sergeant and stenographer with the 56th Field Hospital in Central Europe.
Mr. Koskela received the: Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Service Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on December 31, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
