He received the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
Mr. Williams was honorably discharged on March 21, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
