Mr. Berglund was born on April 20, 1922, the son of Oscar and Ida Berglund, who were Swedish immigrants. He was a member of the Carl Anderson American Legion Post 262, and Past Commander and Life member of the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post 3979.

Mr. Berglund died on March 1, 2003. -- “Ernest Berglund, Fireman Second Class, at Great Lakes, Ill., and Cpl. Albin Berglund, Camp Barkeley, Texas, are servicemen sons of Mrs. Ida Berglund, route 3, box 110, Cloquet.”
