Emil E. Korpy of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 30, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a private 1st class and observer with the Headquarters Battery 213th Anti-Aircraft Group, Coast Artillery at Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Rhineland, Central Europe.
Mr. Korpy was awarded the: European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on October 23, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
