Elmer Weidman was inducted into the Army on September 22, 1942.
Mr. Weidman served as a Private First Class and a truck driver with Headquarters and Service Company of the 313th Engineer Combat Battalion in Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Northern Apennines and Po Valley, Italy.
He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
Mr. Weidman was honorably discharged on October 7, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
