Elmer J. Koskela of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on July 18, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Private First Class with the 378th Infantry Medics in Northern France and the Rhineland.

Mr. Koskela received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on December 12, 1945 at Fort Douglas, Utah.
