Elmer E. Johnson

Elmer E. Johnson of Orr, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on November 30, 1944. As a private 1st class, he drove trucks for the infantry in the Ryukyu Islands. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with 1 bronze battle star, the Philippine Liberation Medal with 1 bronze star, the Army of Occupation Service Medal (Japan), the World War II Victory Medal, and 2 overseas service bars. He was discharged on November 7, 1946.
