Mr. Bay entered the Naval Reserve April 20, 1942. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Motor Machinist's Mate First Class (Seabees) with the 26th Naval Construction Battalion and Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 603.

Honorably discharged November 26, 1945, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
