Eino A. Lahde of Eveleth was inducted into the Army on May 28, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and a power man with the 315th Troop Carrier Squadron, Transportation Corps in the China-Burma-India Theater.
He received the: Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on January 6, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
