Eino Hyppa of Angora, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army in September, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and warehouse man with Company C of the 50th Engineer Combat Battalion in the Aleutian Islands, Eastern Mandates, Southern Philippines and Ryukyu Islands.
Mr. Hyppa was awarded the:Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with four bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged November 26, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
