Einar E. Koivisto

Einar E. Koivisto enlisted into the Army on June 25, 1942. Home of entry: Esko, Minnesota.

He served as a Staff Sergeant and surveyor with Company C of the 270th Engineers Construction Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Koivisto was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one silver battle star (for five bronze battle stars), World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 26, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
