Edwin R. Harju

Edwin R. Harju of Eveleth, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on June 20, 1941 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class in Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 184th Infantry Regiment in the European and Pacific Theaters.

Mr. Harju was awarded the Meritorious Unit Award with gold star, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged Feb. 9, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
