Edwin Maki of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on July 21, 1942.
He was a Private First Class and auto mechanic with the First Port Intransit Depot Squadron of the First Port Intransit Depot Group and Ninth Air Force in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Maki was awarded the: Croix de Guerre (France), Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on Dec. 3, 1945.
