Edwin Lawrence Peterson of Saginaw, Minnesota was inducted into the Army in April 1944.

He was a Private First Class and a rifleman with Company I, 304th Infantry Regiment in the European Theater.

He was killed in action on March 13, 1945, in Germany.

He is buried in a U.S. military cemetery in Luxembourg.

Mr. Peterson received the Purple Heart.
