Edwin A. Kemppi of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on November 20, 1942.
He was a Private First Class and a demolitions specialist with the 750th Railroad Operating Battalion in the Rhineland, Central Europe.
Mr. Kemppi received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on February 14, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
