Edwin J. Skarp

Edwin J. Skarp entered the Army on August 7, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fourth Grade and machinist with Company A of the 755th Railway Shop Battalion in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 8, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
