Edward T. Kochar of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on July 6, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

 He was a sergeant and truck master with the 5th Quartermaster Company, 5th Infantry Division in the Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe.

Mr. Kochar received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on November 19, 1945 at Camp Atterbury, Ind.
