Edward M. Stehlin

Edward M. Stehlin was inducted into the Army on January 27, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.  Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and light machine gun squad leader with Company I of the 159th Infantry Regiment in Northern France and Aleutian Islands. 

Mr. Stehlin was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star. European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 12, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
