Edward L. Novakovich of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 30, 1942.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and an anti-aircraft artillery gunner in Battery D in the Sep Coast Artillery Battalion in the Naples Foggia, Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe campaigns.
Mr. Novakovich received the: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and five overseas service bars.
He was discharged on October 23, 1945.
