Edward J. Kochevar of Eveleth, Minnesota enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 15, 1942.
He was a Staff Sergeant serving as an airplane armorer and gunner with the 3508th Army Air Forces Base Unit in Northern Apennines and Po Valley, Italy; and the Rhineland in Central Europe.
Mr. Kochevar was awarded the: Air Medal with oak leaf cluster, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged on October 29, 1945 at Truax Field, Wis.
