Edward A. Gradisher of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Jan. 14, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Technical Sergeant and platoon sergeant with Service Company of the 381st Infantry Regiment of the 96th Infantry Division in the South Philippines and Ryukyu Islands.
Mr. Gradisher was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged Feb. 8, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
