GARRITY, Edward Gerald
Edward Gerald Garrity was born on October 8th 1919 to Edward Henry & Geradine [Kennedy] Garrity in Hibbing Minnesota.
Mr. Garrity enlisted in the Army July 15th 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. He married Lillian Beatrice [Swanson]
He served as a artillery mechanic with the 609th Ordinance "B", Arm't Maintenance Battalion in the European Theater. He rose to the rank of Technician 4th Grade (TEC4).
TEC4 Garrity was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged July 1st 1944, at Winter General Hospital, Topeka, Kansas.
Mr. Garrity died on February 17th 1970 at the age of 50 years in Hibbing. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
