Edward Allen was inducted into the Army June 2, 1943, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with the Engineer Construction Battalion in the European Theater.

Awarded: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged February 28, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
