ORAZEM, Edmond Lawrence
Edmund Lawrence Orazem was born on May 18th 1921 to John Joseph & Viola Florence [Croteau] Orazem in Keewatin, Minnesota.
Mr. Orazem enlisted for service on November 7th 1941 before Pearl Harbor at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was inducted into service with the U.S. Army Air Corps on May 23rd 1942 during WWII
He was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant (1LT) and was a chemical officer with the 232nd Army Air Forces Base Unit.
LT Orazem earned the following merits for his service:
- American Campaign Service Medal, -and-
- World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged on April 1st 1946 at Lowry Field in Denver, Colorado. After the war he returned home and married Meri Unelma [Turkia] on April 6th 1979, and they started a family.
Mr. Orazem died on September 22nd 1984 at 63 years of age in Virginia, Minnesota. He is buried at Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik, Minnesota.
