Douglas A. Jagunich of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on August 27, 1942.
He served as a Technician 4th Grade with the 829th Amphibian Truck Company in Rome-Arno, Italy, Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
Mr. Jagunich received the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with four bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on November 2, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
