Douglas H. Slosson entered the Army on March 8, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Proctor, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and auto mechanic with the 522nd Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Company in Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 15, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
