Mr. Blanchard inducted into the Army on February 10, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and a cook with the 700 Engineer Petroleum Distributing Company in the Pacific Theater.
He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Theater Medal, American Campaign Service Medal and four overseas service bars.
Mr. Blanchard was honorably discharged on November 30, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
