Donald O. Grohs served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on April 25, 1916, the son of William H. and Florence Grohs. He graduated from Mechanic Arts High School.

Mr. Grohs died at age 92 on May 23, 2008, in Duluth, Minnesota.
