TOLPPA, Donald Nester
Donald Nester Tolppa was born on December 1st 1910 to John & Alfina [Veda] in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Mr. Tolppa enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 10th 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. He was assigned 3rd Bomber Squad (H), 22nd Bomb Group, of the 408th Bombardment Squadron.
During his service in WWII, Donald rose to the rank of Sergeant (SGT). He served in the role of an Aerial Radio Operator. He was honorably discharged on January 22nd 1946.
After the war Mr. Tolppa married Grace Clara [Leblanc] and they started a family.
Mr. Tolppa died on March 8th 1988 in Duluth at the age of 77 years. He was buried at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota.
