Donald J. Schlotec

Donald J. Schlotec entered the Army on August 19, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and machine gunner with Company A of the 147th Infantry Regiment in Western Pacific and the Ryukyu Islands.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on January 25, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
